Pastoral staff

Pastor John and Sandy Carlo

As the Pastor of Christian Pentecostal Church, my wife, Sandra, and I would like to invite you to come and be blessed by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our church is the oldest Pentecostal Church on Staten Island. We began as a prayer meeting in 1923 and God has allowed us to grow into a large multi-cultural congregation.

We believe in prayer and in the Power of God to change lives, to change circumstances, and to change hearts. God can heal our minds, our bodies, and our spirits. We have witnessed many of God’s miracles in the lives of people from all backgrounds.

“Dare to believe” that God can change your life and circumstances and give you a new beginning.

There are many areas of ministry offered by our church which will bless every member of your family. We invite you to browse through our website and see what God is doing at CPC.

Welcome to our church family.

Rev. John Rocco Carlo

Our mission is to see the lost saved.  To encourage them in their walk with Christ, through preaching and teaching the Word of God.

To exhort them in spiritual growth and a mindset of mature living. To help God’s people to grow up in Christ and walk in integrity, to develop them for ministry in the different areas of the body.

To help them live victoriously through the applied Word of God.

Having an assurance that the truth in every area of your life will make you free.

Pastor Joseph and Dolly Chevere

In 1985 Pastor Joseph and Dolly Chevere accepted the Lord into their lives under the same ministry, Victory Outreach in Brooklyn, NY. Throughout 1987-89 they met, dated, got engaged and then on April 16, 1990 got married.

They were discipled and raised in a leadership ministry and prepared for the calling of God to pastor.

In 2006, they were launched out of Victory Outreach to pioneer a new Victory Outreach Church in Staten Island, specifically in the urban inner city of New Brighton.

Through the guidance, provision, strength and favor of the Holy Spirit they successfully impacted many lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They have also become eyewitnesses of the transforming power of God upon many people.

Pastor Joseph and Dolly served as pioneers of the Victory Outreach Church in Staten Island until April of 2013. At this time, Pastor Joseph led the church to merge with Christian Pentecostal Church.

Today Pastor Joseph Chevere is ordained by CPC and is on the Pastoral staff as one of the Asst. Pastors.
